Activate kiosk mode on Self-Ordering-Terminal (SOT)

What
Enabling kiosk mode on Self-Ordering-Terminal (SOT) and disabling swipe gestures in Google Chrome.

Where
Admin: Store management > Stores > Edit > Cash registers.
Google Chrome: Three dots > Save and share > Create shortcut.

Create a Self-Ordering-Terminal

If the cash register has not yet been created, create it first in the admin area under Admin: Store management > Stores > Edit > Cash registers.

It is best to name the cash register after the position of the Self-Ordering-Terminal (SOT). Example: "SOT entrance left".

Create desktop shortcut

1. Open the Self-Ordering-Terminal in Chrome, e.g. customername.simplyselfservice.de and click on the 3 dots > Save and share > Create shortcut.
2. Log in once with the customer cash register access and save data.
3. Close all Chrome windows.
4. Right-click on the created Chrome shortcut and click "Settings".
5. Empty the field "Destination" and insert new path --> creation of new path, see following step:

Create path

If Chrome was installed under a different path, you must adjust it.
"C:\Program Files\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe" -kiosk https://customername.simplyselfservice.de/login -- overscroll-history-navigation=0

Disable swiping

1. Enter the URL in Chrome:

chrome://flags/#overscroll-history-navigation
And on "Disabled".
Then click on "Relaunch".

If this point no longer exists:

chrome://settings/accessibility
Enter as URL and disable swipe gestures.

2. At CMD „regedit“ and enter in the Windows search bar:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\EdgeUI

If "EdgeUI" is not available under Windows, right click on Windows and click "New" > "Key", which then creates a subfolder. This subfolder is then called "EdgeUI".
Then click on "EdgeUI" right click and "DWORD32" with the name "AllowEdgeSwipe".
Then open the file and set it as desired:
0 = deactivate
1 = activate
