Configure SIDES Pay Terminal in Windows

Before the connection can be set up in the Admin, changes must be made in the Windows network settings.

If guest accounts are present, the terminals are generally locked.

Immediately after the first payment attempt, a prompt appears asking whether the device is allowed to access this PC. This must be confirmed with "Yes". 


1. Open the "Command Prompt" in Windows.




2. Enter "ipconfig" as the search command.




3. The result will show you the "Default Gateway" - Leave this window open in the background and continue with the next step.




4. Open the "Control Panel" in Windows.




5. Click on Network and Internet -> View network status and tasks.




6. Go to the next menu item "Change adapter settings".





7. Right-click on the active network adapter -> select "Properties" from the context menu.



8. Open the "Properties" of "Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4)".




9. In the lower section, enable the checkbox for "Use the following DNS server addresses" and
-> Under Preferred DNS Server: 1.1.1.1 enter this value. 
-> Under Alternate DNS Server: enter the Default Gateway from the Command Prompt.

10. Confirm everything with "OK" and close.
