Please note that the name of the account holder must match the name on the business registration. Since we need to submit the business registration as proof when publishing, there must be a match here. Apple will not allow the app to be published otherwise.
1. Create an Apple account (Apple ID)
To create an iOS app, an Apple Developer Account is required - this must be created at
https://account.apple.com/account. If you already have a business Apple account (Apple ID) whose details match your business registration, you can skip this step.
Please note: Apple attaches importance to company-related email addresses, i.e. with endings like @hotmail.de and @web.de there could be problems. So ideally you should use a mail address with @*your-company*.de.
1.2. Enter your first name, last name, country, date of birth, email address, password, and phone number.
1.3. You will then need to verify your account using a code:
a. once via email,
b. once via SMS or phone call.
You must provide your own phone number here. Due to two-factor authentication (2FA), our app team will call you once we receive your app form (third link in the email). Without the completed app form, we cannot create your app. Please don’t forget this.
2. Sign in to Apple Developer
If necessary, set up two-factor authentication (if not already done) - Apple will guide you through the process.
3. Activate the Apple Developer Program
3.1. Click on the highlighted area.
3.2. Click “I’m not interested” unless you want to receive the Apple newsletter.
3.3. You will be redirected to the homepage - select “Enroll today”.
3.4. Choose “Continue enrollment on the web”.
3.5. Enter the missing information: first name, last name, phone number, and the address from your business registration.
3.6. Select “Company / Organization” if your business is registered as a company (e.g. LLC or similar).
Click “Continue”.
3.7. Enter the full company name (including the legal form such as LLC, Ltd., etc.).
Then enter the D-U-N-S number.
3.8. Enter the company website, phone number, and business email address. The address should be filled in automatically.
Click “Send code” to receive a one-time verification code via email and enter it.
The email address must use your company domain, e.g. pizza@*your-company*.com. Email addresses like @hotmail.de or gmail.com will be rejected.
3.9. Click “Continue”. Review your details again and click “Submit”.
Your registration has now been submitted to Apple for review. This usually takes a few days. In some cases, you may need to confirm your account by phone or provide additional documents (e.g. ID, business registration, etc.). Please submit these documents if requested - this varies depending on Apple.
Once your account has been successfully verified, it’s time to pay for the membership.
4. Pay for the Apple Developer Program
4.1. You will receive an email confirmation once your account has been verified. Then sign in again at
https://developer.apple.com/account to purchase the license (€99 per year). Click on the highlighted area.
4.2. Continue with the payment. Check the box (1) and then click “Purchase” (2).
Ideally, enable “Automatic Renewal” (1). Otherwise, your partnership with Apple will end automatically after one year and your app will be removed from the App Store.
4.3. You will then be redirected to the App Store, where you need to log in again with your Apple ID.
4.4. Select your payment method and enter your payment details.
Once completed, your application will be processed by Apple. Approval of your account may take a few days.
