How do I make a product only visible at the POS and not online?

Product visibility is determined by the Commodity group it belongs to. By creating a specific commodity group for your POS items, you can hide them from the webshop.

Step 1: Create a 'POS-only' commodity group
  1. In the SIDES Administration, go to Item management > Commodity groups.
  2. Click Add commodity group.
  3. Give the group a clear name (e.g. "POS only / In-house").
  4. Under Incoming order channels: Set only the toggles for Point of Sale and Call center to "Yes".
  5. Under Outgoing order channels: Set all relevant channels (e.g. Counter sales, Table sales) to "Yes".
  6. Click Save.

Step 2: Link the item
  1. Go to Item management > Item.
  2. Find the item and click the Edit (pencil) icon.
  3. Go to the "Commodity groups" tab.
  4. Check the new POS commodity group and uncheck the old (webshop) group.
  5. Click Save.

Tip: Don't forget to refresh the SIDES App on the POS to make the changes visible immediately.
