Recipes

Creating recipes is the foundation for using the inventory management system. The composition is similar to the preparation of the product. In recipes, you combine the raw materials in the corresponding quantities and then assign them to the sales product. Recipes can contain both recipes and raw materials. This means that you can nest recipes within each other.

To add a new recipe, click "Add recipe". Enter a name for the recipe. If you wish, you can also add a description and an image. Then click "Save and continue editing" so that you can assign raw materials or recipes to the recipe.

If you have already created raw materials or recipes, you can now assign them to the recipe. Simply search for the raw material using the search field. You can search by article number or by article name. Enter the quantity in which the raw material should be included. The system will then automatically display the unit and the quantity that you have specified for the raw material.

In the "Loss" field, you can specify how much of the raw material is lost during preparation. Please note, however, that this value is for display purposes only and has no actual effect on the calculation.

If you select the "Removable" option, you and your customers can deselect the recipe component at the POS or in the webshop.

With the "Reduces price" option, the sales price is reduced by the price of the raw material when it is deselected.

If nutritional values are to be assigned to recipes, the "Specify nutritional values for articles" option must be disabled under "Global store settings" on the "Other settings" tab.

For nutritional information, it is also important that you activate the "Raw material" function on the first tab of the article master data. If this option is not set to "Yes", no nutritional values can be entered. It is possible for a sales article to also be a raw material at the same time. This is the case, for example, with Cola, Fanta, etc. In these cases, 0.5 l bottles are delivered and sold to the customer in exactly the same form. Therefore, the sales article can also be the raw material, allowing you to enter the nutritional values directly for the "entire article". However, if we take a raw material such as cheese, which can be used for various recipes such as pizzas, burgers, or similar products, special attention must be paid to the nutritional information.

First, enter the weight or content of your article. You can then enter the nutritional values for the article per 100 g. The values for the entire article will then be completed automatically.

You can also select your previously created "Allergens & Ingredients" (subcategory items "Allergens" and "Additives/Ingredients").

If a "Recipe" has been assigned to an article that contains this raw material, all information entered here will be calculated proportionally for the individual component of the recipe.
