✨ New Features & Enhancements

- Customization & Branding
- You can now upload a custom background image for the item list loading screen via a shops theme settings.
- User Experience & Accessibility
The user profile section now includes a notice for loyalty points that are expiring soon, helping customers use them in time.
Improved the webshop's heading structure for better accessibility, making it easier for screen reader users to navigate.
Updated icons in the order history to be more inclusive of different food types beyond just burgers.
- Payment & Order Management
- Customers can now swap toppings on their orders again, with prices updating dynamically for a flexible and clear customization experience. Going forward, Topping Swap will only be supported within a configurable item.
- The system now intelligently applies the lowest applicable menu surcharge based on store and time validity rules.
- Empowering users with a new pre-order feature, allowing them to schedule delivery orders for a future date, even when the store is currently open.
- Boost sales with our new "Cross-Selling" recommendation engine, already known from the Self-Order Terminal (SOT), which suggests complementary items to customers.
- Customers can now offer user-specific payment methods like "Purchase on Account" to eligible logged-in users again.
These updates improve the underlying infrastructure and technical capabilities of our platform.
- Implemented new logic to ensure the newsletter consent checkbox during registration behaves correctly based on a store's default newsletter subscription settings.
🐞 Bug Fixes
We have squashed several issues to improve the stability and reliability of the webshop and app.
- Visual Enhancements
- The ingredient selection window is no longer cut off on mobile devices, ensuring all options are fully visible.
- Error messages in the credit card payment form are now clearer, helping users quickly identify and fix issues.
- Long descriptions for toppings are no longer cut off in the checkout summary, so users can see their full order details.
- Improved the clarity of messages when a user closes the Apple Sign-In/Sign-Up window on eligible shops.
- Corrected an issue where footer links were not appearing even when enabled in the theme settings.
- A notification message will now only appear when an item is successfully added to the cart, not just during customization.
- The "Reorder" button and order details now display correctly on mobile without needing to swipe.
- A restaurant's icon (favicon) now displays correctly on the mobile webshop for iOS users, improving brand consistency.
- Fixed an overlap issue where the phone's navigation bar would cover the app's footer menu.
- Users can now scroll through and select all toppings, even on items with extensive customization options.
- The loyalty points section on the order status page is now correctly hidden if the loyalty program is disabled for a store.
- Loyalty point information is now displayed correctly in the compact list view on mobile devices.
- Corrected the display of prices to ensure the decimal format is consistent across the webshop.
- The shopping cart now updates correctly when using the "Boxes" feature, removing the "Your cart is empty" message after an item is added.
- Functionality & Logic Improvements
- Made sub-commodity groups more versatile and easier to manage.
- Customers on iOS can now properly zoom in and out on the order tracking map.
- Ensured that transaction fees are correctly applied to orders in the webshop.
- The "Hide Item" function now works reliably, allowing customers to control which products are visible in their webshop.
- Coupons will no longer incorrectly apply discounts to toppings that have been marked as non-discountable.
- The "Sign-In with Google" button is now fully accessible and functional for all users on eligible shops.
- Improved address search for Dutch postal codes; entering the four digits will now correctly suggest matching addresses.
- Enhanced screen reader accessibility in the shopping cart, ensuring focus correctly highlights bonus points and the total sum.
- Fixed a critical issue that caused iDeal payment redirections to fail in the mobile apps, ensuring a smooth payment process.
- The "Checkout" button now remains inactive when a voucher is applied to an empty cart, preventing checkout errors.
- Vouchers for free delivery will now correctly remove the delivery charge from the total.
- The "Add to Cart" button is no longer missing on certain item tiles, allowing customers to add items as expected.
- The "Account Management" link is now automatically hidden when user login and registration are disabled in the shop settings.
- The minimum required selection for topping groups is now properly enforced in the webshop.
- Users can now successfully create and manage multiple "Boxes" in their shopping cart.
- Resolved an internal issue related to commodity group selection to improve platform stability.
- Improved the selection logic for commodity groups to make navigating categories more intuitive and reliable.
- The map on the "Select Store" page now displays correctly for all users.
- Preview prices will no longer be displayed for items when the feature is disabled in the settings.
- Guest users participating in a group order will no longer lose their order if the browser is refreshed.
