Takeaway (Lieferando) interface

Takeaway (Lieferando) interface

With our interface, you can communicate the delivery times configured in SIDES to Lieferando and therefore to the end customer as well.

You can also manage the portal accounts without our assistance and activate them yourself if necessary.

Create an account

  1. Go to Admin: External services > Delivery portal account to create an account.
  2. Select the store for which you want to add the interface from the dropdown menu at the top.
  3. Click "Add delivery portal account".

Configure the account as follows:
  1. Type of delivery portal: Select "Takeaway.com".

  2. Active: Specify whether the account should be actively used. If "No" is enabled here (whether in the delivery portal account settings or in the delivery portal account overview), orders from this delivery portal for this store will not appear in the order overview in the Admin or POS.

  3. Delivery portal account status: This shows the account status. If it is "Unknown" or similar after the first save, please contact Support.

  4. Description of delivery portal account: Enter an internal system description for the account. This field is optional.

  5. Restaurant ID: You will receive this from Lieferando. The customer number is usually used here. The restaurant ID must also be entered as the external ID on Lieferando's interface page.

  6. Item numbers: Select one of the following options from the dropdown menu. This setting determines which of the two item numbers from Admin: Item management > Items > Edit > "Item" section (the first two fields at the top left) is used to match the portal item number for incoming delivery portal orders. If item numbers are ignored, matching is based on the item name transmitted by the delivery portal.
    1. Compare with item number: The portal item number transmitted by the delivery portal is compared with the item number in SIDES.
    2. Ignore: The transmitted portal item number is not used for matching. If this option is enabled, matching is NOT based on the numbers but on the item name. The matching must be checked manually under Admin: External services > Delivery portal item matching.
    3. Compare with external item number: The portal item number transmitted by the delivery portal is compared with the external item number in SIDES.
    4. Compare first with item number, then with external item number: The portal item number is first compared with the item number in SIDES. If no match is found, it is then compared with the external item number.
    5. Compare first with external item number, then with item number: The portal item number is first compared with the external item number in SIDES. If no match is found, it is then compared with the item number.

  7. Automatically calculate minimum quantity surcharge: Differences between the payment total and the grand total are automatically calculated as a minimum quantity surcharge. This option is optional but should be enabled.

  8. Check and correct item structure: Menus that are not transmitted correctly by the portal (with a main item and topping) are corrected. This option is optional but should be enabled by default.

  9. Automatic assignment of delivery orders ghost restaurant stores: Enable this option if delivery orders for a ghost restaurant should be automatically assigned to the appropriate store based on the address within a client. The store is selected based on the delivery address. If the option is disabled, orders are not automatically distributed to other stores.

  10. Direct POS injection is used: Enable this option if POS injection is used for Takeaway.com. The order confirmation is then handled differently.

  11. Cancelled orders are sent to Takeaway.com: Enable this option if cancelled orders should be reported to Takeaway.com.

  12. Under "Print", use the dropdown menu for each configured printer to specify which print template should be used, for example "Default invoice". Select "Do not print" to prevent output on the respective printer. This allows Takeaway orders to be printed simultaneously as an invoice and as a kitchen receipt on different printers, for example.

Check the account status

Once the account has been created, "Valid" appears in the overview. If an account is marked as "Invalid", save the account again. If the error persists, please contact us.

Account overview

The account overview contains various buttons.
  1. Show error messages: The envelope icon "Show error messages" contains the error logs. If orders do not arrive at the store, you can check here why they were not transmitted.

  2. Edit: The account settings can be edited again using the pencil icon "Edit".

  3. Delete: The account can be deleted using the trash can icon "Delete".

  4. Activate/Deactivate: The "Activated/Deactivated" switch can be used to deactivate and reactivate the account.

View data transmission

In the POS, you can use the magnifying glass view for each portal order in the order overview to check which data was transmitted. To do this, click the info button (i icon) for the SIDES token to view all transmitted information.

Important note about the POS

Please note that stores must always be logged in to the POS interface so that orders can be processed. Lieferando sends us a ping to check whether the store is online. If you are not logged in, the orders will not be transmitted.
