What
Using the number pad for quantity entry at the POS allows for direct and time-saving input of item quantities.

Where
POS.

The number pad at the POS allows for fast and efficient entry of item quantities.

This feature is particularly useful in Quick Service Restaurants (QSR), supporting swift order processing for larger quantities.

Target audience

  1. POS (Point of Sale) users.
  2. Particularly suitable for QSRs (Quick Service Restaurants) with high order volume and recurring items.

How it works

In the item view, a number pad is displayed on the left side.

Available keys
  1. Numbers: 1–9.
  2. Function key: "C" (Clear / Reset entry).
  3. Display: Shows the currently entered quantity, e.g., "32x".

Using the number pad

Step-by-Step
  1. Enter the desired quantity using the number pad.
    1. Example:
      1. "22" → press the 2 key twice.
      2. The display shows "22".
  2. Select an item.
  3. The item is added directly to the shopping cart with the entered quantity.

Navigation during entry

  1. While a quantity is being entered, you can continue navigating through the commodity groups.
  2. The entered number remains until:
    1. an item is selected, or
    2. the entry is reset using the "C" key.
