Description
Apple Pay and Google Pay are only displayed if all required prerequisites are met. Depending on whether the payment method is to be used in the mobile webshop or the mobile app, different requirements apply.
Mobile Webshop
To display Apple Pay or Google Pay in the mobile webshop, the following requirements must be met:
- If a custom webshop domain (CNAME) is used, it must be configured as the webshop URL in the cross-store settings.
- Apple Pay or Google Pay must be set up on the customer's device with a valid payment method.
- A supported device and a compatible browser must be used (e.g. Apple Pay with Safari on iOS).
Mobile App
Additional requirements apply to the mobile app.
Apple Pay and Google Pay are not configured automatically. Activation is available upon request and requires individual technical configuration within the app as well as in the respective Apple Developer and Google Developer accounts.
Solution
Mobile Webshop
Please verify the following:
- Is a custom webshop domain (CNAME) being used?
- If so, is it configured as the webshop URL in the cross-store settings?
- Is Apple Pay or Google Pay set up on the customer's device?
- Is the webshop being tested on a supported device using a compatible browser?
Mobile App
If Apple Pay or Google Pay should be available in the app, SIDES Support must be contacted. The setup is performed individually and requires additional technical configuration.
Note
The setup differs between the mobile webshop and the mobile app:
- Mobile Webshop: If a custom domain (CNAME) is used, it must be configured as the webshop URL.
- Mobile App: Apple Pay and Google Pay are only available after an individual technical setup by SIDES.
