1. Why hasn’t my Stripe payout been transferred yet?
Stripe payouts are not always processed immediately. Possible reasons include:
- The payout is still being processed (selected payout schedule + up to 3 business days processing time)
- The connected bank account was recently changed
- The payout schedule was adjusted (Stripe may require several days to apply the change)
2. Why is the payout marked as “Pending”?
A payout may remain pending if:
- Stripe is currently performing a security review
- Additional verification information is required
3. Why has my Stripe account been restricted?
Stripe may pause or restrict payouts if:
- Verification documents are still missing after the initial setup phase
- Unusual payment activity has been detected
- There are violations of Stripe’s policies
4. Why was the payout sent to the wrong account?
Possible reasons:
- An incorrect IBAN was entered
- An old bank account is still active
- No new merchant account was created after a change of ownership
5. Why did the payout fail?
Common reasons include:
- Invalid IBAN
- The bank rejected the payment
- The bank account has been closed
- The account holder’s name does not match the registered information
In these cases, Stripe usually sends an error notification via email or in the dashboard.
6. Why are payouts suddenly taking longer than usual?
Delays may occur due to:
- Changes to the account
- Changes to the bank account details
- Adjustments to the payout schedule
7. Why was the first payout delayed?
New Stripe accounts are initially reviewed. The review process may overlap with the selected payout date, which can delay the first payout.
8. Where can I check the status of my payout?
In the Stripe Dashboard under: Stripe Dashboard → Payouts
The following statuses may appear there:
- Pending
- In Transit
- Paid
- Failed
