What

POS system automatically sends relevant status updates of an order to
Wolt, so that the customer is informed about the progress of their
order.

Status transmission to Wolt upon completion of preparation
Requirement
Status transmission is only possible if the orders are marked as completed in the kitchen manager.
Trigger for status transmission
As soon as an order is marked as "Ready" in the kitchen manager, the POS shows the status "Preparation completed" and the system automatically sends a status update to Wolt, so that the order is displayed as completed there.
Behavior on the Wolt page
After the status update is transmitted, Wolt processes the information and updates the order status accordingly to indicate that the order has been completed.
The exact display and label of the status on the Wolt page depend on the type of order (e.g., pickup or delivery) as well as the layout within the Wolt platform.
Example:
- For pickup orders, the updated status on the Wolt page changes to "Ready for pickup".
- For delivery orders, the order status changes from "In preparation" to "Delivering your order now".
Notes
- Status updates to Wolt are sent automatically as soon as the order is completed in the kitchen manager.
- If the status is not set (e.g., because no kitchen manager is used), Wolt will not receive any information that the order is ready.
