1. Set up PayPal
In order to use PayPal in the webshop, it is necessary to set up the PayPal payment method in the Admin first.
1.1 Go to Admin > Store > Stores > Merchant Accounts.
1.2 Select "Add a Merchant Account".
1.3 Select "PayPal", add a "Description" and click "Save".
1.4 You will then see the status "Onboarding". Click on the "Login to PayPal" button.
1.5 Afterwards the PayPal mask will open. Please log in with your PayPal business account. If you do not have an existing PayPal business account, you can create a new business account here.
1.6 After that, the status "Merchant.Onboarding.Completed" will be displayed, indicating that the setup has been completed successfully. It is not necessary to log in to PayPal again. Now go to step 2 "Activate PayPal".
2. Activate PayPal
Now enable the PayPal payment type for the store so that it can be used.
Go to Admin > Store > Stores > Edit > Payment type.
Enable "PayPal (Online Payment: PayPal V2)" and be sure to check the "Automatic refund" box to "Yes", this will automatically refund the amounts from cancellations.
Finally, click "Save" at the bottom. This completes the PayPal setup.
Finally, it is recommended to make a test order to check the setup.
