Show deposit as additional or inclusive in the webshop/app


What
The option "Show deposit as plus" determines whether deposit amounts are displayed in the webshop/app in the product selection and in the shopping cart plus or including the product price.

Where
Admin: Global settings > Global store settings > Other settings > Webshop settings > Show deposit as plus.

Introduction

The "Show deposit as plus" option can be used to control how deposit amounts are displayed to the user in the webshop or app.


Setting

The "Show deposit as plus" display option can be configured in the webshop settings:
  1. Navigate to Admin: Global settings > Global store settings > Other settings > Webshop settings.
  2. There, the "Show deposit as plus" option can be activated or deactivated.






The selected setting subsequently affects the behavior of the deposit display, as described in the next section.


Functionality

  1. Option "Show deposit as plus" is ON (activated)
    1. Menu selection: The deposit is not directly visible when selecting a menu.
    2. Shopping cart: The deposit for all items is summarized and only displayed as a general total in the shopping cart.




  1. Option "Show deposit as plus" is OFF (deactivated)
    1. Menu selection and shopping cart: The deposit is shown directly for each individual item and listed in the shopping cart as an additional, separate line item per product.

Note: 
Please check the legal requirements in your country to see whether there is an obligation to display deposit amounts.

In Germany, according to Section 7 of the Price Indication Regulation (PAngV), the deposit must be shown in addition (plus) to the product price for the end consumer. Therefore, the following setting is recommended in Germany: 
  1. Option "Show deposit as plus" is ON (activated).



Deposit display on the receipt

The deposit can be displayed on the receipt.

The following placeholders are available for this purpose under Admin: Hardware > Print templates > Edit > Invoice sum. 
Please note that if the drink is sold as part of a menu, the deposit amount will not be displayed through the placeholder.

Restaurant POS App

In the Restaurant POS app, you can specify in the print templates whether the deposit should be displayed as an inclusive item or as a separate item (under Restaurant POS app: side navigation menu > Print templates > Edit > Deposit).

For example, if you select "Deposit as a single item", the deposit will be shown separately on the receipt.
